Este volumen ofrece investigaciones de vanguardia en ciencias de servicios y sus áreas de investigación, educación y práctica relacionadas. Muestra desarrollos recientes en sistemas de servicios inteligentes, gestión de operaciones y análisis y su impacto en sistemas de servicios complejos. Los artículos incluidos en este volumen destacan las tecnologías y aplicaciones emergentes en campos que incluyen atención médica, energía, finanzas, tecnología de la información, transporte, deportes, logística y servicios públicos. Independientemente del tamaño y del servicio, una organización de servicios es un sistema de servicios. Debido a la naturaleza sociotécnica de un sistema de servicios, se debe adoptar un enfoque sistémico para diseñar, desarrollar y prestar servicios, destinados a satisfacer las necesidades tanto utilitarias como sociopsicológicas de los usuarios finales. La comprensión efectiva de los servicios y los sistemas de servicios a menudo requiere combinar múltiples métodos para considerar cómo las interacciones de las personas, la tecnología, las organizaciones y la información crean valor en diversas condiciones. Los artículos de este volumen presentan métodos para abordar tales desafíos técnicos en la ciencia de servicios y se basan en los principales artículos de la Conferencia Internacional INFORMS sobre Ciencia de Servicios de 2019. |
