Boris Pavlov (1936-2016), a quien está dedicado este volumen, fue un destacado especialista en análisis, teoría de operadores y física matemática. Como uno de los miembros más influyentes de la Escuela de Matemáticas de San Petersburgo, fue uno de los fundadores de la Escuela de Operadores No Autoadjuntos de Leningrado. Este volumen recopila trabajos de investigación provenientes de dos conferencias que se organizaron en memoria de Boris Pavlov: "Teoría y aplicaciones espectrales", celebrada en Estocolmo, Suecia, en marzo de 2016, y "Teoría, análisis y física matemática de operadores – OTAMP2016" celebrada en el Instituto Euler en San Petersburgo, Rusia, en agosto de 2016. El volumen también incluye acuarelas de Boris Pavlov, algunas fotografías personales, así como homenajes de amigos y colegas. |
