Con contribuciones presentadas en la Conferencia Internacional de Economía Aplicada (ICOAE) de 2018 celebrada en Varsovia, Polonia, este libro presenta investigaciones contemporáneas que utilizan métodos econométricos aplicados para el análisis, así como estudios específicos de países con posibles implicaciones en la política económica. La economía aplicada es un campo de la economía en rápido crecimiento que combina la teoría económica con la econometría para analizar los problemas económicos del mundo real, generalmente con intereses de política económica. ICOAE es una conferencia anual iniciada en 2008 con el objetivo de reunir a economistas de diferentes campos de la investigación económica aplicada para compartir métodos e ideas. Cada año se envían aproximadamente 150 artículos procedentes de unos 40 países de todo el mundo. El objetivo de la conferencia y los artículos adjuntos es permitir un intercambio de experiencias con diferentes métodos econométricos aplicados y promover iniciativas conjuntas entre campos económicos bien establecidos como las finanzas, la economía agrícola, la economía de la salud, la economía de la educación, la teoría del comercio internacional y estrategias de gestión y marketing. Con contribuciones globales, este libro será de interés para investigadores, académicos, profesionales y responsables políticos en el campo de la economía aplicada y la econometría.
