TÃtulo : Analysis of the nutritional status of adolescents in the state of Pará, Brazil Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: de Sousa Costa, Ana Gabriela, Autor ; de Araujo Sousa, Randerson José, Autor ; Amaral Filgueiras, Ligia, Autor Editorial: Manizales [Colombia] : Universidad de Manizales* Fecha de publicación: 2021 Resumen: Objective: to analyze the nutritional status of adolescents in the state of Pará, Brazil, in order to observe the trends in the Height x Age and BMI x Age indexes. Material and Methods: it was a quantitative, retrospective, and cross-sectional study from 2010 to 2019. The female and male sex were evaluated in each nutritional status index “Height x Age†and “BMI x Ageâ€. The collected data were organized in Microsoft
Excel 2010 software and statistics was performed in the Action Stat 3.7 program. The ethics and investigation committee’s assessment was not necessary. Results: in “Height x Ageâ€, a total of 132,114 adolescents, age ≥ 10 and < 20 years, were registered and the female gender prevailed (65.8%), normality in the distribution of data was observed and no difference was noted in this category. In the “BMI x Ageâ€, 132,204 were reported, a normal distribution was found, but there was a statistical difference between sexes in the categories: “overweightâ€, “obesityâ€, “severe obesity†and “eutrophyâ€, which represented the largest percentage (73.4%). Conclusion: the population is mostly female, and the distribution of records is heterogeneous. Both
sexes were shown to be of adequate height for their age and eutrophic. However, it was noticed the nutritional scenario is changing, which may lead, in the future, to public health problems, such as the increase in the number of patients with chronic non-communicable diseases.Tipo de medio : Computadora En lÃnea: https://revistasum.umanizales.edu.co/ojs/index.php/archivosmedicina/article/view [...] Link: https://biblioteca.umanizales.edu.co/ils/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&i

TÃtulo : Gestational syphilis in the low amazon mesoregion, Brazil, 2008 - 2018 Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: de Araujo Sousa, Randerson José, Autor ; Ribeiro Mafra, Adriana Vanessa, Autor ; do Nascimento Martins, Nádia Vicência, Autor ; Ribeiro Mafra, Luanna Samara, Autor Editorial: Manizales [Colombia] : Universidad de Manizales* Fecha de publicación: 2020 ArtÃculo en la página: páginas:67-76 Resumen: Objective: to trace the epidemiological profile of gestational syphilis reported cases in the Low Amazon mesoregion in the period between 2008 and 2018. Materials and Methods: the study was epidemiological, observational, descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, and carried out by a quantitative approach. The variables were sociodemographic and epidemiological, and data was available by the Ministry of Health in line with the Department of Surveillance, Prevention, and Control of Sexually Transmitted Infections and Viral Hepatitis. The collected data were tabulated and processed with the aid of Microsoft Excel® 2010 and Action 3.7. Results: when characterizing the epidemiological profile, 949 cases were observed, which did not present normality; an average of 86.3 notifications per year; a median of 81; and a standard deviation of 47.6. The year 2017 stood out with 22.3% of notifications and the average age group was 24 years old. The race/color “brown†predominated with 87.6% and 42.7% did not have completed elementary school. The clinical classification that presented the highest records was “Primary Syphilis†with 49% and gestational age was “Third Trimester†with 50.3% of cases. The most adopted treatment regimen was Penicillin with 82.1%. There were ignored variables in the notification. Conclusion: given the results, it is clear that gestational syphilis is a public health problem in health care for women. Thus, this study can be used as a basis for public agencies to direct projects aimed at prevention and awareness about the consequences generated by the disease.
