This will optimize decision-making and territorial planning in the municipality. As a first step, the information requirements and functionalities demanded by both the community and the Planning Department are identified. The information available in physical and digital media is then evaluated according to its relevance to the development of the GIS. Based on this diagnosis, the technical and functional parameters necessary to create GIS applications on web and desktop platforms are defined. These tools allow for the storage, visualization, and spatial analysis of key data to respond to the Planning Department's requirements. This project seeks to strengthen institutional capacities for spatial information management, contributing to the sustainable development of the municipality.
