| Resumen: |
The consumption of psychoactive substances (PAS) has been considered a problem of global scope. Its use is closely related to subjective first-person experiences, such as pleasure. Other issues, such as the confrontation of norm, values, the meaning of life, existence itself and the inhabited world are significantly related to the use of SPA. This work aimed to identify the sociodemographic characteristics of the participants and their
consumption dynamics, their practices and their impacts. The understanding of how these university students notice and become aware of the experience of the use of psychoactive substances and the searches they have with it and how this experience influences their university life was addressed. A qualitative approach and a hermeneutical phenomenological method were used that had 25 students between 18 and 27 years of age
as participants. A survey and a semi-structured interview were used to identify their experiences and evidence their perceptions and opinions, substance use and the changes they have experienced; Another of the instruments was the in-depth narrative that made it possible to give meaning to the experiences reported; a PIL Test (Purpose in Life Test) was also carried out to identify the meanings and meanings of life of the students. Among the
most significant results is the identification of dynamics of resistance to institutional power as an expression of processes of vital transformation of the participating subjects, as well as the role of the university context in consumption as a way of inhabiting the world and relating to it, beyond the mere experience of pleasure |
