Este libro defiende que la búsqueda de la originalidad constituye una de las características más importantes de la creatividad, pero que la originalidad remite, etimológicamente, tanto a origen como a originario. De ahí que el libro se estructura en dos partes, dedicadas, respectivamente, a las categorías creativas de origen y a las categorías creativas de originario. Dentro de los primeros están los mitos de la creación, los juegos –el origen de toda actividad cultural, el caos-orden dialéctico–, las civilizaciones axiales –el germen de nuestro tiempo– y la lucha entre generaciones –un factor de transformación social– y, dentro de los segundos, los creativos. capitalismo, trabajo creativo en el contexto de la economía global de riesgo e incertidumbre, y democracia representativa. Sin embargo, estos dos conceptos no están aislados, sino profundamente interrelacionados, de una manera que explica cómo la originalidad creativa construye una narrativa temporal. Ha quedado dislocada en la modernidad tardía y, con ella, la creatividad ha quedado rota. Juan A. Roche Cárcel es catedrático de Sociología de la Cultura y las Artes en la Universidad de Alicante (España). Es autor de numerosos libros y artículos sobre cultura y artes y presidente de la comisión de sociología de las emociones de la Federación Española de Sociología (FES). |

This book defends that the pursuit of originality constitutes one of the most important characteristics of creativity, but that originality refers, etymologically, to both origin and originary. Hence, the book is structured into two parts, dedicated, respectively, to the creative categories of origin and the creative categories of originary. Within the former are creation myths, games – the origin of all cultural activity, the dialectic chaos-order, axial civilizations – the germ of our time, and the struggle between generations – a factor of social transformation, and, within the second, creative capitalism, creative work in the context of the global economy of risk and uncertainty, and representative democracy. However, these two concepts are not isolated, but deeply interrelated, in a way that explains how creative originality builds a temporal narrative. It has been dislocated in late modernity and, with it, creativity has been broken. Juan A. Roche Cárcel is a professor of sociology of culture and the arts at the University of Alicante (Spain). He is the author of numerous books and articles on culture and arts and president of the committee for the sociology of emotions at the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES). |
