La primera parte explora la historia del grupo y su relación con la tradición literaria latinoamericana, mientras que la segunda parte está dedicada al análisis crÃtico de las obras de cada uno de los autores: Ricardo Chávez Castañeda, Ignacio Padilla, Pedro Ãngel Palou, Eloy Urroz y Jorge Volpi. El volumen se enriquece aún más con la inclusión, en el apéndice, de los dos manifiestos del grupo: el Crack Manifesto y el Crack Postmanifesto (1996-2016).
