Este volumen editado destaca cómo los individuos, las comunidades y las naciones están abordando una historia de violencia prolongada en la transición hacia la paz. Este camino no es lineal ni sencillo. El volumen integra investigaciones de procesos y prácticas de paz que abarcan más de 20 países. Cuatro áreas temáticas unen estas contribuciones: mecanismos formales de justicia transicional, movimientos sociales y acción colectiva, procesos impulsados por la comunidad e iniciativas orientadas al futuro centradas en niños y jóvenes. A lo largo de estos capítulos, el volumen ofrece una visión crítica, nuevos métodos, modelos conceptuales y una valiosa investigación intercultural. Los capítulos de este volumen equilibran las realidades de paz localizadas, así como las similitudes transversales entre contextos. This edited volume highlights how individuals, communities and nations are addressing a history of protracted violence in the transition to peace. This path is not linear or straightforward. The volume integrates research from peace processes and practices spanning over 20 countries. Four thematic areas unite these contributions: formal transitional justice mechanisms, social movements and collective action, community-driven processes, and future-oriented initiatives focused on children and youth. Across these chapters, the volume offers critical insight, new methods, conceptual models, and valuable cross-cultural research. The chapters in this volume balance locally-situated realties of peace, as well as cross-cutting similarities across contexts.
