Este libro presenta una reconfiguración de los conceptos de comunidad en los paÃses latinos, asà como la calidad de vida y el bienestar comunitario de diferentes grupos: niños, jóvenes, adultos mayores, migrantes. El concepto tradicional de comunidad ha cambiado junto con la forma en que las personas participan en los espacios comunitarios. La comunidad hoy en dÃa es más que una concentración geográfica; se relaciona con el apoyo social, la intersubjetividad, la participación, el consenso, las creencias comunes, el esfuerzo conjunto encaminado a un objetivo mayor y las relaciones intensas y extensas. Este volumen presenta experiencias únicas sobre cultura, desarrollo social, salud, agua, conflictos armados, medios digitales y deportes dentro de las comunidades, escritas por autores de paÃses latinos.
