Este libro es una colección de artículos encargados específicamente sobre los principales movimientos filosóficos de Europa continental desde 1914. Muestra cómo cada uno de estos cuerpos de pensamiento ha sido moldeado por sus respuestas a los horrores desencadenados por la Primera Guerra Mundial, y considera si estamos todavía "posposguerra". El estallido de la Primera Guerra Mundial en agosto de 1914 puso en cadena una serie de crisis y reconfiguraciones que han seguido configurando el mundo durante un siglo: matanzas industrializadas, el fin del colonialismo y de los imperios europeos, el ascenso de los Estados Unidos, las crisis económicas, el fascismo, el marxismo soviético, los gulags y la Shoah. Casi todos los principales movimientos del pensamiento europeo (fenomenología, psicoanálisis, hegelianismo, marxismo, teología política, teoría crítica y neoliberalismo) se forjaron o moldearon en intentos de aceptar el trauma global de las guerras mundiales. Este es el primer libro que describe el desarrollo de estos movimientos después de la Primera Guerra Mundial y, como tal, promete ser de interés para filósofos e historiadores de la filosofía de todo el mundo. |
