Los procedimientos intervencionistas para la estenosis aórtica, la insuficiencia mitral, el cierre de la orejuela auricular izquierda, el cierre del foramen oval permeable y el cierre de defectos interauriculares e interventriculares se presentan claramente paso a paso con la ayuda de una gran cantidad de imágenes. Estas descripciones se complementan con un análisis basado en casos de las diversas patologías estructurales y sus complicaciones. También se proporciona una orientación clara sobre la selección de pacientes, la evaluación preoperatoria y la elección de los dispositivos disponibles. Todos los autores son expertos reconocidos con amplia experiencia en laboratorios y unidades quirúrgicas. El libro refleja plenamente los rápidos cambios en la cardiología intervencionista estructural que se han producido durante los últimos años.
