Este volumen comprende un amplio examen interdisciplinario de los diferentes enfoques mediante los cuales los académicos contemporáneos registran nuestra historia. Los editores brindan una visión integral a través de treinta y ocho capÃtulos divididos en cuatro partes: a) Cultura histórica y usos públicos de la historia; b) El atractivo de la nación en la educación histórica de las sociedades poscoloniales; c) Reflexiones sobre el Aprendizaje y la Enseñanza de la Historia; d) Recursos educativos: planes de estudio, libros de texto y nuevos medios. Este texto único integra contribuciones de investigadores de la historia, la educación, la memoria colectiva, los estudios de museos, el patrimonio, la psicologÃa social y cognitiva y otras ciencias sociales, estimulando un diálogo interdisciplinario. Los colaboradores provienen de varios paÃses de América del Norte y del Sur, Europa y Asia, brindando una perspectiva internacional que hace justicia a la complejidad de este campo de estudio. El Manual Palgrave de Investigación en Cultura y Educación Históricas proporciona investigaciones de vanguardia, centrándose en cómo los ciudadanos y las sociedades dan sentido al pasado a través de diferentes formas de representarlo. |
