Al abordar el asentamiento de nuestra Luna desde una perspectiva práctica, este libro es muy adecuado para los planificadores de programas espaciales. Aborda una variedad de temas relacionados con el factor humano involucrados en la colonización de la Luna de la Tierra, que incluyen: historia, filosofía, ciencia, ingeniería, agricultura, medicina, política, sociología y antropología. Cada capítulo identifica las cuestiones complejas e interdisciplinarias del factor humano que surgen en las primeras fases del asentamiento en la Luna. Además de las cuestiones prácticas, se pone cierto énfasis en preservar, proteger y experimentar el entorno lunar en una amplia gama de ocupaciones, desde científicos hasta soldados e ingenieros y trabajadores de la construcción.
