Este manual genera nuevos conocimientos que enriquecen nuestra comprensión de la historia del Islam en África y las diversas experiencias y expresiones de la fe en el continente. Los capítulos del volumen cubren temas clave que reflejan las preocupaciones y realidades de muchos musulmanes africanos. Proporcionan a los lectores acceso a un tratamiento integral de las tradiciones pasadas y actuales de los musulmanes en África, ofreciendo información sobre las diferentes formas de islamización que han tenido lugar en varias regiones, las respuestas locales a la islamización, el Islam en el África colonial y poscolonial, y la diversas formas de movimientos Jihād que han ocurrido en el continente. El manual proporciona conocimientos actualizados sobre diversos aspectos sociales, culturales, lingüísticos, políticos, artísticos, educativos e intelectuales del encuentro entre el Islam y las sociedades africanas reflejados en las experiencias vividas por los musulmanes africanos y el corpus de textos islámicos africanos. |
