Como tal, las enfermedades que afectan al mesenterio ahora pueden agruparse dentro de una única área de estudio y práctica clínica. Los diversos aspectos de las enfermedades mesentéricas no se han reunido en una sola fuente y este libro pretende reunirlos por primera vez. Abarcará áreas generales como anatomía, histología y fisiología del mesenterio. A continuación se ofrece una descripción de los procedimientos de diagnóstico utilizados para evaluar a los pacientes con trastornos mesentéricos. También se incluirá un estudio práctico con descripciones detalladas de los trastornos médicos, quirúrgicos y neoplásicos del mesenterio.
