Este libro constituye la primera publicación exhaustiva sobre el deber de diligencia de las organizaciones internacionales hacia su personal civil enviado a misiones y asignaciones fuera de su lugar normal de actividad. Si bien el trabajo del personal civil de las organizaciones internacionales a menudo conlleva un riesgo inherente, las reglamentaciones, políticas y prácticas del empleador pueden ayudar a abordar y mitigar ese riesgo. En este libro, se aclara el contenido específico y el alcance del deber de diligencia según el derecho internacional mediante la realización de una investigación sin precedentes de la jurisprudencia y las fuentes jurídicas relevantes. Se incluye una evaluación crítica de las políticas de organizaciones internacionales seleccionadas y también se presenta un conjunto de principios rectores sobre el deber de diligencia de las organizaciones internacionales.
