Este libro cubre el proceso de restauración y reconstrucción y las actividades llevadas a cabo en Japón en los primeros cinco años desde el terremoto y tsunami de 2011, un período ampliamente considerado como la fase de reconstrucción más intensiva dentro del plan de restauración de 10 años elaborado por el gobierno japonés. Los capítulos respectivos exploran aspectos técnicos, científicos, sociales y no científicos (relacionados con políticas), incluyendo: políticas de reconstrucción y restauración, infraestructura y diseños para la defensa costera contra tsunamis, áreas urbanas resilientes y comunidades afectadas, esquemas de vivienda y reubicación, mitigación de desastres y medidas de evacuación, reactivación de la economía, dinamización de la pesca y la agricultura costera, y la industria y el turismo. El libro también ilustra algunos de los logros y fracasos en una amplia gama de proyectos e iniciativas destinados a abordar los problemas mencionados anteriormente, lo que lo hace particularmente relevante para expertos, tomadores de decisiones, estudiantes y otros académicos interesados. |
