Las amplias perspectivas europeas aquí recogidas pretenden analizar, mediante un enfoque interdisciplinario, las numerosas implicaciones de un cambio masivo en la concepción del "trabajo" y la categoría de "trabajador". La crisis económica y la digitalización han exacerbado una crisis en aquellas categorías de pensamiento y acción política que anteriormente nos permitían discutir –y problematizar– la vulnerabilidad en el empleo en términos de injusticia, desigualdad y protección inadecuada. Abordando la deconstrucción del empleo tradicional como categoría central para teorizar el fenómeno del trabajo, este volumen explora los nuevos campos y territorios semánticos que se han vuelto disponibles para teorizar, comprender y regular el empleo. Estas nuevas categorías lingüísticas tienen implicaciones que van más allá del lenguaje únicamente: producen una reformulación de la sabiduría convencional sobre toda la categoría de empleo asalariado (aspectos que antes se daban por sentados en cuanto al significado del trabajo y de ser "un trabajador"), así como otros categorías estrechamente asociadas, como el desempleo, el trabajo por cuenta propia o la inactividad. |
