Basado en la información recopilada del Cuestionario de Necesidades Espirituales utilizado internacionalmente, este libro ofrece análisis de las necesidades espirituales y existenciales entre diferentes grupos de personas, como los enfermos crónicos, los ancianos, los adolescentes, las madres de niños enfermos, los refugiados, los familiares de los pacientes y otros. . Expertos de diferentes profesiones y contextos culturales discuten los antecedentes teóricos, los hallazgos empíricos específicos y la relevancia de abordar las necesidades espirituales. Apoyar las necesidades espirituales de una persona sigue siendo una tarea importante de los futuros sistemas sanitarios que desean atender de forma más integral las necesidades sanitarias de los pacientes, y de las comunidades religiosas para garantizar que las preocupaciones espirituales de todas las personas, independientemente de sus orientaciones religiosas, se atiendan dentro y fuera entornos sanitarios.
