Este libro explora las capacidades y los deseos de las mujeres académicas de reimaginar y transformar las culturas académicas. Al abrazar y defender la erudición feminista, la investigación presentada por las autoras en esta colección ofrece espacio para una forma diferente de ser académico y cambia la conversación hacia un futuro esperanzador, amable e inclusivo. A través de la exploración de experiencias vividas, la construcción de comunidades solidarias y la promulgación de una ética del cuidado, los autores están reimaginando el enfoque y el propósito de la academia. Los enfoques de investigación autoetnográficos y basados en las artes empleados a lo largo del libro proporcionan un contenido conceptual evocador, que responde a la naturaleza simbólica de la transformación en la academia.
