Este libro incluye más de trescientos setenta y cinco artículos breves presentados durante la segunda edición de EMCEI, que se celebró en Sousse, Túnez, en octubre de 2019. Tras el éxito de la primera EMCEI en 2017, la segunda entrega abordó cuestiones ambientales emergentes junto con nuevos desafíos, por ejemplo, centrándose en enfoques innovadores que contribuyan a lograr un medio ambiente sostenible en el Mediterráneo y las regiones circundantes y destacando a los tomadores de decisiones de sectores relacionados las consideraciones ambientales que deben integrarse en sus respectivas actividades. Al presentar una amplia gama de temas ambientales y nuevos hallazgos relevantes para una variedad de problemas en estas regiones, este volumen atraerá a cualquier persona que trabaje en el área temática y, en particular, a los estudiantes interesados en aprender más sobre los nuevos avances en las iniciativas de investigación ambiental en vista del empeoramiento de la degradación ambiental del Mediterráneo y las regiones circundantes, que ha convertido la protección del medio ambiente y los recursos en un problema cada vez más importante que obstaculiza el desarrollo sostenible y el bienestar social. |
