Este libro es el acta del Taller Internacional sobre TeorÃa y Aplicaciones de Operadores (IWOTA) celebrado en julio de 2018 en Shanghai, China. Consta de artÃculos originales, estudios y artÃculos expositivos en las amplias áreas de teorÃa de operadores, álgebras de operadores y topologÃa no conmutativa. Su objetivo es brindar a los estudiantes de posgrado e investigadores una visión relativamente completa del estado actual de la investigación en los campos relevantes. El libro también es un volumen especial dedicado a la memoria de Ronald G. Douglas, quien falleció el 27 de febrero de 2018 a la edad de 79 años. Muchos de los contribuyentes son estudiantes y colaboradores anteriores de Douglas. Sus artÃculos dan fe y conmemoran su contribución e influencia a lo largo de su vida en estos campos. |

This book is the proceeding of the International Workshop on Operator Theory and Applications (IWOTA) held in July 2018 in Shanghai, China. It consists of original papers, surveys and expository articles in the broad areas of operator theory, operator algebras and noncommutative topology. Its goal is to give graduate students and researchers a relatively comprehensive overview of the current status of research in the relevant fields. The book is also a special volume dedicated to the memory of Ronald G. Douglas who passed away on February 27, 2018 at the age of 79. Many of the contributors are Douglas' students and past collaborators. Their articles attest and commemorate his life-long contribution and influence to these fields. |
