Este libro incluye artÃculos seleccionados presentados en el Seminario Indofrancés sobre Optimización, Análisis Variacional y Aplicaciones (IFSOVAA-2020), celebrado en el Departamento de Matemáticas, Instituto de Ciencias de la Universidad Hindú de Banaras, Varanasi, India, del 2 al 4 de febrero. 2020. El libro analiza los problemas de optimización actuales y sus soluciones mediante el uso de la poderosa herramienta del análisis variacional. Los temas cubiertos en este volumen incluyen optimización de conjuntos, optimización multiobjetivo, programas matemáticos con restricciones complementarias, de equilibrio, de fuga y de conmutación, optimización copositiva, optimización con valores de intervalo, programación cuadrática secuencial, optimización con restricciones limitadas, desigualdades variacionales y más. Se han incluido varias aplicaciones en diferentes ramas de las matemáticas aplicadas, la ingenierÃa, la economÃa, las finanzas y las ciencias médicas.
