Este libro es la combinación de la literatura sobre el uso materno de drogas y los defectos congénitos con un conjunto de datos nuevos sobre la mayoría de los tipos de drogas. En este libro, para cada grupo de medicamentos se presenta la literatura científica relevante sobre la teratogenicidad de los medicamentos, considerando las posibles fuentes de error y también lo que los hallazgos pueden significar desde un punto de vista práctico. El libro también agrega datos de los registros sanitarios suecos para el período 1996-2013 basados en más de 1,7 millones de entrevistas con parteras durante el embarazo temprano. El uso de drogas maternas y las malformaciones congénitas infantiles encontrarán una audiencia comprometida entre las personas que trabajan en este campo y serán de interés para los proveedores de atención médica, especialmente los obstetras y otros médicos que tratan a mujeres en edad fértil. |
