Este libro contribuye a una comprensión más profunda del paisaje y la modelización regional en general, y su amplia gama de facetas con respecto a diversos parámetros del paisaje. Presenta enfoques modelo para una serie de indicadores ecológicos y socioeconómicos del paisaje, y también describe sistemas de apoyo a la decisión espacial (DSS), marcos y herramientas basadas en modelos, que son requisitos previos para derivar decisiones sostenibles y estrategias de solución para la protección integral de paisajes funcionales. Si bien se centra principalmente en los últimos resultados de las investigaciones sobre modelización regional y DSS en Europa, también destaca el trabajo de científicos de Rusia. El libro está dirigido a modeladores de paisaje, científicos de diversos campos de la investigación del paisaje, personal docente universitario y expertos en planificación y gestión del paisaje, conservación del paisaje y política paisajística. |
