Estas actas contienen 27 artÃculos, que son versiones revisadas por pares de las presentaciones realizadas en el simposio de la Asociación Internacional de Geodesia (IAG) "Gravity, Geoid and Height Systems 2016" (GGHS2016). GGHS2016 fue el primer simposio internacional conjunto organizado por la Comisión 2 de IAG "Gravity Field", el Servicio Internacional de Campo de Gravedad (IGFS) y el Ãrea de Enfoque de GGOS "Sistema Unificado de Altura". Tuvo lugar en Salónica, Grecia, del 19 al 23 de septiembre de 2016 en las instalaciones de la Universidad Aristóteles de Salónica. El simposio fue organizado por el Departamento de Geodesia y TopografÃa de la Universidad Aristóteles de Tesalónica, que actualmente alberga la Oficina Central del IGFS. El tema central del Simposio fueron los métodos para observar, estimar e interpretar el campo gravitatorio de la Tierra, asà como sus aplicaciones. GGHS2016 continuó la larga y exitosa historia de los Simposios de la Comisión 2 de IAG. |

These proceedings contain 27 papers, which are the peer-reviewed versions of presentations made at the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) symposium "Gravity, Geoid and Height Systems 2016" (GGHS2016). GGHS2016 was the first Joint international symposium organized by IAG Commission 2 "Gravity Field", the International Gravity Field Service (IGFS) and the GGOS Focus Area "Unified Height System". It took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, in September 19-23, 2016 at the premises of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The symposium was organized by the Department of Geodesy and Surveying of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which presently hosts the IGFS Central Bureau. The focus of the Symposium was on methods for observing, estimating and interpreting the Earth gravity field as well as its applications. GGHS2016 continued the long and successful history of IAG's Commission 2 Symposia. |
