Este libro ofrece a los lectores una visión general completa del papel de las administradoras de educación superior en China. A partir de más de 7.500 CV recopilados, compara y analiza diferentes grupos de administradoras universitarias en China. El estudio encontró que el número de mujeres administradoras universitarias en China es mucho menor que el de sus homólogos masculinos, y la mayoría se desempeña como suplentes de líderes de mayor rango. Las administradoras tienen más responsabilidades políticas, que son importantes en China, que administrativas. Utilizando modelos de regresión logística, los autores analizan y discuten los factores que tienen impactos negativos en las carreras profesionales de las administradoras. Además, al examinar sus biografías, los autores dan sugerencias sobre las características que ayudaron a estas administradoras a tener éxito. El libro está dirigido a investigadores y estudiantes interesados en la educación superior en China.
