No es posible ignorar el hecho de que las ciudades no sólo son espacios en movimiento, vibrantes y florecientes, que prometen esperanzas de una mejor calidad de vida, sino que también acumulan y reflejan problemas importantes. Este libro explora la naturaleza relacional y dinámica de las desigualdades urbanas, incluidas sus formas visibles e invisibles. Al utilizar el término bastante esquivo de "incertidumbre", los autores se centran en aspectos especÃficos de las desigualdades urbanas que son difÃciles de medir, pero que la gente siente y experimenta agudamente y, cada vez más a menudo, los percibe como injustos. AquÃ, en el reconocimiento de las desigualdades como injustas y en el desacuerdo con el status quo, reside un aspecto positivo de la incertidumbre, que puede conducir a un despertar social y a una ciudadanÃa más activa. |
