Está dividido en cuatro secciones temáticas –1) fiestas y patrimonio cultural, 2) patrimonio ferroviario y museos, 3) patrimonio arqueológico y turismo, y 4) paisaje cultural y turismo– y presenta capítulos sobre una amplia gama de temas, desde samba y las identidades culturales en Río de Janeiro y Londres hasta la "musealización" de los bienes ferroviarios, la historia de la arqueología antártica, el valor de los paisajes escénicos y la memoria urbana en España, y el paisaje cultural de Brasil.
