El tema central de los artÃculos de BPMDS 2017 fue "Permitir la transformación empresarial mediante el modelado, el desarrollo y el soporte de procesos empresariales". De 24 trabajos presentados, 11 fueron finalmente aceptados y organizados por: Consideraciones no funcionales en los procesos de negocio; nuevos desafÃos en el modelado y soporte de procesos de negocio; probar procesos comerciales; comprensión del modelo de procesos de negocio; un informe de experiencia sobre la enseñanza del modelado de procesos de negocio. La conferencia EMMSAD se centra en evaluar, explorar y mejorar métodos y técnicas de modelado para el desarrollo de sistemas de información y software, empresas y procesos comerciales.
