Este libro ofrece una exploración concisa y exhaustiva de la teoría del aprendizaje transformativo realizada por investigadores europeos. Al explorar la teoría del aprendizaje transformador de Mezirow como una "teoría viva", los editores y colaboradores se preguntan si existe una perspectiva exclusivamente europea sobre esta teoría que refleje las tradiciones y contextos de Europa. ¿Cuál es la naturaleza de esa perspectiva y en qué se parece o se diferencia de las adoptadas en Estados Unidos? Este libro describe cómo los investigadores europeos han desarrollado la teoría del aprendizaje transformativo y cómo se ha basado, criticado y enriquecido la teoría de la transformación propuesta por Mezirow. En consecuencia, este volumen describe nuevas perspectivas teóricas para la evolución futura del aprendizaje transformador y explora perspectivas teóricas que pueden ponerse en práctica en una variedad de campos.
