Resumen: Este libro constituye las actas de la 16.ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Perspectivas en la Investigación en Informática Empresarial, BIR 2017, celebrada en Copenhague, Dinamarca, en agosto de 2017. Este año, la conferencia BIR atrajo 59 presentaciones de 23 países. Fueron revisados por 45 miembros del Comité de Programa y, como resultado, se seleccionaron 17 artículos completos y 3 artículos breves para su presentación en la conferencia y publicación en este volumen. Están organizados en secciones sobre arquitectura empresarial, gestión de procesos de negocio, análisis de negocios, aplicaciones de sistemas de información y desarrollo de sistemas de información. Además, también se incluyen los resúmenes de las dos conferencias magistrales. Este año, el tema de la conferencia fue la transformación digital, que afectará a la mayoría de las empresas, organizaciones y sociedades y exigirá enfoques nuevos y radicales sobre cómo adoptamos, utilizamos y gestionamos la TI.

Summary : This book constitutes the proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research, BIR 2017, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in August 2017. This year the BIR conference attracted 59 submissions from 23 countries. They were reviewed by 45 members of the Program Committee, and as a result, 17 full papers and 3 short papers were selected for presentation at the conference and publication in this volume. They are organized in sections on enterprise architecture, business process management, business analytics, information systems applications, and information systems development. In addition, the summaries of the two conference keynotes are also included. This year, the conference theme was the digital transformation, which will impact most businesses, organizations and societies and call for new and radical approaches to how we adopt, use and manage IT.

Resumen: Este libro constituye las actas de la 4.ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Sistemas de Apoyo a la Decisión, ICDSST 2018, celebrada en Heraklion, Grecia, en mayo de 2018. El tema principal de la conferencia de este año fue "Soporte de decisiones sostenible basado en datos y evidencia". Los 15 artículos presentados en este volumen fueron cuidadosamente revisados y seleccionados entre 71 presentaciones. Se organizaron en secciones temáticas denominadas: sistemas de apoyo a las decisiones para una sociedad sostenible; sistemas de apoyo a las decisiones al servicio del público; sistemas de apoyo a las decisiones en gestión y organización; y avances en tecnologías y métodos de sistemas de apoyo a la toma de decisiones. La serie EWG-DSS de Conferencias Internacionales sobre Tecnología de Sistemas de Apoyo a la Decisión (ICDSST), que comenzó con ICDSST 2015 en Belgrado, se planeó para consolidar la tradición de eventos anuales organizados por el EWG-DSS para ofrecer una plataforma para las comunidades DSS europeas e internacionales. que comprende los sectores académico e industrial, para presentar investigaciones y desarrollos de vanguardia en DSS, discutir los desafíos actuales que rodean los procesos de toma de decisiones, intercambiar ideas sobre soluciones realistas e innovadoras y desarrollar conjuntamente posibles oportunidades comerciales.

The main topic of this year's conference was "Sustainable Data-Driven and Evidence Based Decision Support". The 15 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 71 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: decision support systems for a sustainable society; decision support systems serving the public; decision support systems in management and organization; and advances in decision support systems' technologies and methods. The EWG-DSS series of International Conference on Decision Support System Technology (ICDSST), starting with ICDSST 2015 in Belgrade, were planned to consolidate the tradition of annual events organized by the EWG-DSS in offering a platform for European and international DSS communities, comprising the academic and industrial sectors, to present state-of-the-art DSS research and developments, to discuss current challenges that surround decision-making processes, to exchange ideas about realistic and innovative solutions, and to co-develop potential business opportunities.
