A lo largo de los capítulos siguientes, los lectores descubrirán la ubicuidad de los objetos abstractos al considerar cada campo filosófico. Dado el uso ubicuo de expresiones que supuestamente se refieren a objetos abstractos, creemos que es relevante atender a la controversia entre quienes quieren defender la existencia de objetos abstractos y quienes se oponen a ellos. Las contribuciones a este volumen describen posiciones y debates que implican directa o indirectamente adoptar una postura u otra sobre objetos abstractos de diferentes tipos y categorías. El volumen proporciona una variedad de ejemplos de cómo las posiciones a favor o en contra de los objetos abstractos pueden usarse en diferentes áreas de la filosofía en relación con diferentes asuntos. Given the ubiquitous use of expressions that purportedly refer to abstract objects, we think that it is relevant to attend to the controversy between those who want to advocate the existence of abstract objects and those who stand against them. Contributions to this volume depict positions and debates that directly or indirectly involve taking one position or other about abstract objects of different kinds and categories. The volume provides a variety of samples of how positions for or against abstract objects can be used in different areas of philosophy in relation to different matters. The book is divided in three parts. The first part is dedicated to themes in philosophy of language, which were at the centre of Marty's philosophical thinking throughout his life. The second part focuses on the problem of the objectivity and phenomenology of time and space, upon which Marty was working in the final years of his life. The final part turns to Marty's meta-metaphysical and meta-philosophical considerations. The intended audience of this book are primarily scholars and students interested in the relevant contemporary debates, as well as scholars working on the Austrian tradition. Giuliano Bacigalupo has held positions at the University of Geneva, Switzlerand, the University of Konstanz, Germany, and Seattle University, USA. He has published several papers on the Austro-German tradition and he is author of the book A Study on Existence(Cambridge Scholars, 2017).
